The “Posada Tres Pasos Hotel ” was born in 1904 with a lot of efforts made by the pioneers of colonization in the Ultima Esperanza Province. It became a compulsory passage of large caravans of cars and carriages on the way to Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine and Argentina. This historic place, which is surrounded by majestic mountains such as; Cerro Castillo, Cerro Campana, Cadena Dorotea and Jorge Montt, became a center of meeting and supply, including the last surviving groups of the so called indigenous ethnic group “Aonikenk”, who inhabited the area in those years. The Posada Tres Pasos Hotel is located at the confluence of three valleys and near the Figueroa Lago. This beautiful place inspired the greatest writer of our country, the Nobel Prize winner, Gabriela Mistral. Nowadays, the Hotel is part of a 5,000-hectare Ranch, and it is also the gateway to all those who visit the Torres del Paine National Park. At the hotel, visitors will have the opportunity to know the history of our ranch that covers an archaeological trail in the Sierra, and will also enjoy the beautiful views that surround us. Passengers can participate in different activities organized in the ranch; hikes and horse riding that include sectors such a Figueroa Lake, Chorrillo Picana and Cerro Castillo, as well as, the traditional tours to Torres del Paine National Park, Bernardo O’Higgins National Park and Los Glaciares Park in Argentina.
